When American actor/singer, Patrick Swayze wrote his memoirs here in "The Time Of My Life" he was already seriously ill with pancreatic cancer which was in its final stages of destroying his life.

In this book of inner reflection, Swayze conscientiously recalls the highlights of his very busy life from being a wide-eyed youth growing up in Houston, Texas, to becoming a successful Hollywood actor whose career was cut short due to his illness with cancer.

*Note* - In 2009 - Patrick Swayze (57 at the time) died quietly at home with his family standing close by for support.

"The Time Of My Life" was first published back in 2009. This was the same year that actor, singer, Patrick Swayze (57 at the time) died of pancreatic cancer.

Swayze had been diagnosed with stage lV of this deadly disease back in 2007 - And, with that - He swore that this debilitating illness would not bring him to his knees.

In this often thoughtful memoir, Swayze not only looks fondly back at his early years as a restless youth in Houston, Texas - But, he also reflects on his career in Hollywood as one of his generation's most promising stars and what, exactly, that meant to him.

This biography also includes 32 pages of color photographs, as well.

Such a wonderful and touching written by a man who passed way too young. Patrick is one of those people that, even though you know basically everything that's possible by reading about them, you will still just go on and on about them. Him and Lisa were such an amazing couple. It makes me realize that the world isn't full of no-good people, that there actually are those few that have such big hearts. I would've loved to see more about his battle with the tragic cancer, but I honestly cannot say anything bad about this autobiography. Pure perfection. R.I.P. Patrick Swayze. An angel who died too soon.

A little disappointing, this book is a brief account of Patrick's career which lacks depth. Although his career has certainly been interesting I had hoped for more insight into his battle with cancer. The love story between Patrick and his sweetheart is beautiful.

It's Patrick ... nothing left to say other than - Au-Revoir.
