Familiar believable nightmarish premise of a missing daughter, gang turf wars and a promising character known as "The Prince" who worked as an auto mechanic. That lasted about ten minutes and the rest of the 90 minutes turned into a "flat as roadkill thriller" with actions and gun battles looked staged -- lousy acting, directing, writing, editing, stunts ...? The final 20 minutes were loaded with disjointed irrational scenes. The ending was okay but bad directions to get there.

Fairly ok action movie. It doesn't hold up compared to some of the other movies such as Taken.

Jason Patric just didn't seem like a good fit for the bad@$$ father 'on a mission' (Liam Neeson/"Taken") role like this one. Bruce is looking older, and Cusack -- underutilized. 3/5. Not bad, not great.

Just ok. The acting was bad all across the board by everyone.

A daughter needing shooting more than she needed saving, a badass dad saving her about the way it would all appear in a video game with one guy killing dozens who are shooting at him. A tad violent and not much else. Unless the daughter dies from HIV or something after the movie ends. That would be satisfying.

Super Dad saves Daughter in Distress.

O.k. and entertaining,.. but predictable,
and not up to expectations from all the Big Names in the cast.

The invulnerability of the hero strains credibility.
And accurate pistol shooting overwhelms all the shotguns and automatic weapons (?).

The hot young sidekick is lush !

Its a good action movie.

This was a good action movie, but I've never known Willis to play in a bad one, in my opinion.

Jason Patrick does not come up short in his role, he played it well, very well.

3 1/2 stars.

A dad, a mechanic looks for his missing college daughter in New Orleans.
We watch his charachter unfold back imto the person he left behind, a violent drug lord

He has to revisit his old life and survival skills in a life / death adventure to rescue his daughter. He finds out she is also hiding aother side of herslef, just as he was. She is a drug addict.

They "find" and accept each other, while killing all the "bad guys" on the way.
Metaphor for life. We kill our demons, or keep dealing with them. We cant run from or hide them.

Well acted, very violent, ok dialouge, good camera work

Entertaining and thought provoking
