This is the second book in the Candymakers series. In the first book, four kids, Logan, Miles, Daisy, and Philip, enter a candy competition, trying to create the next best candy. They soon realize that someone is trying to put the candy factory out of business. Discovering that the business man is his father, Philip strikes a bargain, saying that if he wins the competition, his dad would have to drop the deal. Together, the four kids create a candy bar called the Harmonicandy, submitting it under Philip’s name. The chocolate bar wins, saving the candy factory from going out of business. This book reveals that the winning candy bar, the Harmonicandy, was actually made with special cocoa beans. Without them, the Life is Sweet candy factory can’t produce the chocolate bar. This information leads Logan, Miles, Philip, and Daisy on an adventure that uncovers secrets about the candy factory and Logan’s family’s past. Thus, ultimately causing the friends to realize that friendship is the true key to paradise.
Logan, Miles, Philip, and Daisy are together again. Philip won the candy contest in the first book and saved the candy factory. In this book the kids are traveling around to different candy stores to promote Philip’s invention the Harmonicandy. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the new Harmonicandy and the ingredients used to make it. The kids must find the rare chocolate that was used in their original recipe or Philip will have to forfeit his winnings. While the kids are on tour promoting the Harmonicandy, they take a few detours to learn about the rare chocolate and have some fun. They must hurry because they need to have the special chocolate for their candy recipe before the tour is complete.
