I'm sorry, this was not my cup of tea. The premise of the book - that Theresa would hunt down this man who had written messages to his dead wife, and they would fall in love (though he clearly was not over his dead wife) - just didn't make sense to me. And the fact that Theresa didn't tell him she had read his letters to his wife, but was surprised and hurt when he got angry over it? Yeah, Theresa's not my favorite person. Nevertheless, I was rooting for them. Both of them had gone through a rough experience, both of them were (mostly) good people, both of them deserved a happy ending. But Nicholas Sparks, apparently, doesn't like happy endings.
