Monsters University is the prequel to Monsters, Inc, and it does not disappoint! The plot continues to focus on Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan (AKA “Sulley”), and their postsecondary journey. While Mike enjoys learning and is excited for embarking upon this new adventure, Sulley is more laid back, as his father is well-known, thus giving him more attention. There are several campus fraternities, and while Sulley is recruited to Roar Omega Roar (RΩR), the most popular and well-known fraternity, Mike joins Oozma Kappa (OK), a fraternity consisting of the ‘misfits’. However, due to his low academic achievement, Sulley is ousted from RΩR, and, to participate in the annual Scare Games, joins OK. From here on out, we see Mike, Sulley, and the rest of the house members work together to try and achieve success in the games. I adore this movie because of how the friendship between Mike and Sulley is portrayed; watching them start off as enemies and develop into a pair of best friends was very wholesome. This movie is a definite 5 out of 5, and I recommend it to all ages! @roselilly04 of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board Monster’s University is a movie I’ve just watched recently for the first time. The main reason I feel I hadn’t watched it until then was (besides forgetting about it) I was scared it wouldn’t be as good as Monster’s Inc. and would ruin it for me. Thankfully, I was very wrong about that! Monster’s University was an amazing and funny movie. It starts out when they were all in University (hence the title), and shows you the adventure of how they got to work in Monster’s Inc. I found it very fascinating seeing how all the characters eventually met, and what type of relationships they had at the beginning of the movie, and how it changed as the movie went along. I also really loved how we got to see more of Mike, and what his dream was and all the challenges he had to face to be able to finally achieve his dream. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who has not yet seen it as you will not be disappointed. Rating 5/5 @novelidea of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
